The Department of Islamic Affairs assigned me to a so called fixer, a caretaker. On my quest I have been directed to a strange shopping mall. This looks like a religious supermarket.

“Can we buy a picture of (Prophet) Mohammad?”.

“They have been withdrawn”.

“But before they used to sell them here, right?”

He says that’s the last picture he has.

“So this is the picture of (Prophet) Mohammad, right?”

“Yes! This is Mohammad, “Hazrate” Mohammad”.

We just bought the last exemplar of the picture of the (Prophet) Mohammad.”

“Yes. I like to buy it”

The Shia permits the portrayal of the Prophet.

Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama (Republik Iran) memperkenalkan saya dengan orang tengah. Untuk mencapai impian saya, saya telah dibawa ke pusat beli belah yang agak aneh. Ianya seperti gedung beli-belah untuk barang-barang agama.

“Boleh saya beli gambar (Nabi) Muhammad?”

“Ianya telah tidak dijual di sini sekarang”

“‘Tapi sebelum ini ianya dijual di sini kan?”

Penjual beritahu bahawa hanya ada satu potret yang tinggal.

“Oh, inilah gambar (Nabi) Muhammad?”

“Ya! Ini lah Muhammad, “Saidina” Muhammad”

“”Awak nak belikah?”

“Ya. Saya nak beli”

Kami baru saja membeli contoh terakhir dari gambar (Nabi) Mohammad.
